The Tyagada Brahma Stambha is a freestanding pillar on Vindhyagiri Hill, part of the cluster of structures surrounding the Gommateshwara statue. Pillars of this type commemorate acts of renunciation within Jain tradition and often mark important devotional sites. Its position near the summit places it directly on the pilgrim's route to the main shrine. The carving on the pillar reflects the same era of patronage as the statue itself.
