Chandraprabha Basadi

One of the oldest basadis on Chandragiri, dating to around 800 AD and dedicated to the 8th Tirthankara.

Chandraprabha Basadi ranks among the earliest structures on Chandragiri Hill, with brick construction over a stone base suggesting a date near 800 AD. It is dedicated to Chandraprabha, the eighth Jain Tirthankara, and houses images of the deities Jwalamalini and Yaksha. Its age makes it a useful reference point for understanding the hill's architectural progression from brick to stone building. The basadi sits within the same protected cluster as its Chandragiri neighbors.
