Chandragupta Basadi

Chandragupta Basadi is the smallest of the temples on Chandragiri Hill, originally built with three cells opening into a narrow passage. Local tradition connects it to Emperor Chandragupta Maurya, who is said to have renounced his throne and lived out his final years nearby. The ornamental doorway added later features perforated stone screens carved with scenes from the lives of Bhadrabahu and Chandragupta. The Archaeological Survey of India lists it as a protected monument.
