Mhalsapati's House

The home of priest Mhalsapati, who first welcomed Sai Baba and gave him his name.

Mhalsapati's House belonged to the temple priest who, on seeing a young ascetic arrive in Shirdi, exclaimed "Aao Sai," welcome saint, giving Sai Baba the name by which the world now knows him. Mhalsapati remained one of Baba's closest and most trusted companions throughout his life in Shirdi, often staying beside him through the night. The modest house preserves this connection, offering devotees a quieter, lesser-visited stop that traces the human relationships at the heart of Sai Baba's story.
