Maruti Mandir

A Hanuman shrine between Dwarkamai and Chavadi, one of Shirdi's oldest temples.

Maruti Mandir, dedicated to Lord Hanuman, sits between Dwarkamai and Chavadi and ranks among Shirdi's oldest temples. Sai Baba is said to have paused here often during his daily walks, sometimes standing quietly before the deity with unusual gestures that devotees still recall. Two Hanuman idols stand side by side inside, with weights kept nearby in a nod to Hanuman's role as patron of wrestlers. The temple remains a regular stop on the Thursday palki procession route.
