Himalayan Bird Park in Shimla is a small but well-maintained zoological park near the State Museum, housing a collection of Himalayan bird species. Established to showcase the avifauna of the Western Himalayas, the park contains pheasants including the Monal (the state bird of Himachal Pradesh), Cheer Pheasant, Koklass Pheasant, and various other species in naturalistic enclosures. The park also houses some small Himalayan mammals. It is a pleasant educational stop, particularly for families with children, and offers a chance to see Himalayan wildlife up close in a scenic hillside setting.
