Christ Church

Christ Church on the Ridge in Shimla is the second oldest church in North India, built in 1857 during the British colonial era when Shimla served as the summer capital of the British Raj. The neo-Gothic structure with its distinctive clock tower dominates Shimla's famous Ridge and is a defining feature of the city's skyline. The church features beautiful stained glass windows depicting Faith, Hope, Charity, Fortitude, Patience, and Humility, along with a peal of bells brought from England. The church is still active and holds regular services. It is one of Shimla's most photographed and beloved landmarks.
