Tea Garden

Tea Garden in Upper Shillong is a compact, well-tended government-run organic tea estate producing orthodox Meghalayan tea at an altitude of roughly 3,000 to 5,500 feet. A small cafeteria on the premises serves freshly brewed tea and light snacks, and visitors can purchase packaged tea directly. The estate is managed under the Meg-Tea initiative and offers a brief but genuinely refreshing introduction to tea cultivation in the Khasi Hills, filling a gap rarely covered in standard Shillong itineraries.
