Matilang Park

Matilang Park is a well-maintained family recreation park in Upper Shillong, situated on the opposite hillside facing Elephant Falls, about 12 km from the city centre. From its grounds, visitors get an unobstructed view of all three tiers of the falls without paying a ticket to enter the falls site itself. The park has shaded gazebos, picnic seating, a children's play area, and a small stream along its edge formed by the same river that feeds the cascades across the valley.
