Ever Living Museum is a remarkable private ethnographic museum in Mawshbuit village, roughly 9 km from Shillong, founded by retired engineer Kyntiewbor War from a collection he began in 1964. Set on five acres near Sweet Falls, its three sections cover Khasi, Jaintia, and Garo heritage artefacts; a stone gallery displaying 30 mineral types, ammonite fossils, gemstones, and stone-age tools unique in Northeast India; and a garden of over 100 orchid varieties. Entry is just Rs 50.
