Brookside Bungalow is a heritage colonial residence in Rilbong where Nobel laureate Rabindranath Tagore stayed in October 1919, seeking solitude after renouncing his knighthood in protest against the Jallianwala Bagh massacre. Believed to have inspired his celebrated novel Shesher Kobita, the bungalow is now a government-maintained museum displaying Tagore's writing desk, handwritten scrolls, personal belongings, and artworks alongside a small library of his works, beside the Umshyrpi stream.
