All Saints Cathedral

Old church with stained glass windows.

All Saints Cathedral is one of Shillong's oldest and most cherished Anglican churches, originally consecrated in 1877 and rebuilt in 1902 after the devastating earthquake of 1897. The Gothic Revival structure features a ribbed wooden ceiling modelled on English hammer-beam roofs, with Burmese timber framing and stained glass windows imported from England depicting biblical scenes. Situated near Police Bazar in Lachumiere, its manicured gardens offer a tranquil retreat in the city's heart.
