Prakriti Bhavan

Prakriti Bhavan in Santiniketan is a centre for nature-based education and environmental awareness associated with the legacy of Rabindranath Tagore's vision of learning in harmony with nature. The facility is connected to Visva-Bharati University's agriculture and environmental programmes and reflects Tagore's deep belief that education should take place in the open air, surrounded by nature. The surrounding gardens and natural settings are used for classes, workshops, and cultural activities in the tradition Tagore established when he founded the open-air Patha Bhavana school.
