The Japanese Temple (Nichigai Suzan Horinji) at Sarnath is a Buddhist temple built by the Japanese Nichiren Buddhist community near the Dhamek Stupa. The temple is dedicated to peace and features traditional Japanese Buddhist architecture including a pagoda and prayer hall. Like many of the international monasteries at Sarnath, it reflects the global significance of the site as the place of Buddha's first sermon. The temple welcomes visitors and pilgrims from all countries and offers a glimpse into Japanese Buddhist devotional practices.
