Keep in mind

December and January see maximum trek groups from Delhi and Dehradun. Camp spots fill fast.

Summer and autumn Har Ki Dun trek also starts from Sankri. Pleasant forest and meadow walks without the winter cold.

Supin valley is lush green. Good for experienced trekkers who can manage the rain.

How to Reach Sankri

Intercity connectivity and travel options

Dehradun Jolly Grant airport (~210 km) is the nearest. Dehradun railway station then road via Vikasnagar and Mori (~200 km). Last ATM is in Purola or Mori - carry sufficient cash.

Getting Around

Shared jeeps from Mori (~35 km) or Naugaon (~55 km). No public transport beyond Sankri. Trek on foot for Kedarkantha, Har Ki Dun, and Ruinsara Lake.

Quick Tip

Mori to Sankri road is rough in patches - shared jeeps are more reliable than private cars on this stretch, especially after rain.
