How to Reach Rudranath

Intercity connectivity and travel options

Dehradun Jolly Grant airport (~220 km) is the nearest. Rishikesh railhead then road via Gopeshwar (~185 km from Rishikesh) to Mandal or Urgam trailheads. Temple open May to November only.

No motorised transport beyond Sagar village (via Mandal approach) or Urgam village. Trek 20-22 km on foot. Porters and guides available at Sagar and Urgam.

Quick Tip

Rudranath is the most remote of the Panch Kedar temples - carry 2 days of food supplies as the single dhaba at the top has limited stock.
