Tendong Hill

A forested trekking peak with a biodiversity park, linked to Sikkimese legend and panoramic valley views.

Tendong Hill rises above Ravangla and forms part of a popular trek route connecting Dentam, Samdruptse, and Namchi. The Tendong State Biodiversity Park at its base protects a range of native Himalayan flora, and the hill itself holds significance in Lepcha legend as a place of refuge during an ancient flood. Trails wind through pine and oak forest toward the summit, where clear days reveal views across South Sikkim. The nearby Temi Tea Garden spreads along its gentler slopes, making the area popular with both trekkers and casual visitors.
