Damthang

Damthang is a small village along the road between Ravangla and the Rayong Sunrise View Point, sitting at an elevation of around 1852 meters. Lush surrounding forest and a calm, unhurried pace define the village, which functions mainly as a scenic waypoint for travelers heading to the sunrise viewpoint. Bird calls and dense greenery are often the only sounds, giving Damthang a distinctly tranquil character compared to busier stops nearby. It also marks a junction where the road splits toward Singtam and Namchi.
