Thiba Palace was built in 1910 to house Burma's exiled King Thibaw, combining colonial planning with Indian architectural details. The three storey structure overlooks the Arabian Sea and now functions as a museum holding Burmese artefacts alongside exhibits on the king's years in Ratnagiri. Its calm grounds and unusual royal history make it a distinctive stop beyond the town's forts and temples.
