The Swayambhu Ganapati Temple at Ganpatipule holds an idol believed to be self manifested and discovered roughly 1600 years ago, with the current structure dating back some four centuries. Built from pule, a local white sand, the temple sits directly beside the beach, drawing large crowds especially during Diwali and Ganesh Chaturthi. Its coastal setting makes it one of the most photographed pilgrimage stops in the Konkan region.
