Pahari Mandir

A hilltop Shiva temple offering panoramic city views, reached by climbing around 400 steps.

Pahari Mandir sits atop Richi Buru hill on the western edge of Ranchi, dedicated to Lord Shankara, a form of Shiva, and stands as one of the city's most recognisable landmarks. Visitors climb roughly 400 steps to reach the summit, rewarded with sweeping views across Ranchi and the surrounding hills. The temple draws large crowds during the Shravan month and especially during Maha Shivratri, when the Shravani Mela brings thousands of pilgrims to the summit.
