Panchamukhi Hanuman Temple

A small temple near the main shrine known for its rare five-faced Hanuman idol.

Panchamukhi Hanuman Temple sits a short distance from Ramanathaswamy Temple, along the route most pilgrims walk after their main darshan. The temple's centerpiece is a striking five-faced Hanuman idol, a rare iconographic form representing different aspects of the deity. Alongside the idol, the temple displays floating stones said to have been used in building the mythical Ram Setu bridge to Lanka, drawing curious visitors as well as devotees. The combination of iconography and Ramayana lore makes it a popular stop.
