Adam's Bridge, known in Hindu tradition as Rama Setu, is a chain of limestone shoals stretching across the Palk Strait toward Sri Lanka, visible from viewpoints near Dhanushkodi at the island's edge. According to the Ramayana, Rama and his army of vanaras built this bridge to cross over and rescue Sita from Ravana. The formation has fueled both devotion and geological debate for generations, and most visitors come for the symbolic weight of the view rather than physical access.
