Savitri Temple

A hilltop temple dedicated to Goddess Savitri perched on Ratnagiri Hill, offering panoramic views of Pushkar and accessible by cable car.

Savitri Temple sits atop Ratnagiri Hill, the highest point overlooking Pushkar town. It is dedicated to Goddess Savitri, the first wife of Lord Brahma, who cursed Brahma after he conducted the Pushkar yagna with a new bride. The temple is considered next in importance to the Brahma Temple and draws significant pilgrim footfall. A cable car now connects the base to the hilltop, making the visit accessible to all. The views from the summit over Pushkar town, the lake, and the surrounding Aravalli hills are extraordinary, especially at sunrise and sunset. Those who prefer can still trek up the hill on foot.

  • Address: Ratnagiri Hill, Pushkar, Ajmer District, Rajasthan 305022
  • How to Reach: About 2 km from Pushkar town centre. Cable car base station is near the Pushkar bus stand. Walkable from town.
