Man Mahal

A 16th-century royal palace on the banks of Pushkar Lake built for Raja Man Singh I of Amber, now a government heritage guesthouse.

Man Mahal is the largest historic palace in Pushkar, built in the 16th century by Raja Man Singh I of Amber as a royal rest house for his pilgrimages to Pushkar. The palace sits directly on the banks of Pushkar Lake and offers one of the best views over the water and the surrounding ghats. The traditional Rajasthani architecture incorporates carved jharokhas, courtyards, and terraces. The Government of Rajasthan now operates it as a heritage tourist bungalow. Watching the sunrise over the lake from the palace terrace is one of the most serene experiences in Pushkar.
