Tulshibaug Market and Ram Mandir

Tulshibaug Market and Ram Mandir

Old city market lanes around a Peshwa era Ram temple, packed with stalls selling jewellery, kitchenware, puja items and fabrics.

Tulshibaug is a dense market in the old city that has grown up around the Tulshibaug Ram Mandir, a temple complex from the Peshwa period with a tall spire and a nagarkhana over the gate. The lanes around it are lined with small stalls selling imitation jewellery, bangles, hair accessories, steel and copper kitchenware, puja items, fabrics and household odds and ends at low prices. It is one of the busiest shopping areas in Pune, especially before Diwali and Ganeshotsav, so keep an eye on your bags. Laxmi Road and Dagdusheth Ganpati are a few minutes away on foot.
