The Siddhivinayak temple at Siddhatek is one of the eight Ashtavinayak shrines, on the north bank of the Bhima River about 100 km east of Pune. Its idol, with the trunk turned to the right, is the only one among the Ashtavinayak in that form. Ahilyabai Holkar of Indore is credited with building the present temple in the 18th century. Pilgrims traditionally walk around the hill behind the temple. Siddhatek is across the river from Pune district and is reached via Daund.
