Lake in west Pune known for birdwatching, with resident and winter migrant water birds best seen early in the morning.

Pashan Lake is a reservoir in west Pune, created by a dam on the Ram Nadi in the British period. It is one of the city's best birdwatching spots, with resident herons, egrets, cormorants and kingfishers and, in winter, migrant ducks and waders. A walkway runs along part of the shore. Come early in the morning, when birds are most active; binoculars help.
