Fergusson College Road, always called FC Road, runs from Deccan Gymkhana past Fergusson College, founded in 1885, towards Shivajinagar. With several colleges nearby it has a young crowd, and its pavements fill with stalls selling clothes, bags, shoes and accessories at student prices. It is also one of the city's best food streets: Vaishali for South Indian snacks and SPDP, Cafe Goodluck for bun maska and Irani chai, and many newer cafes. Evenings are the liveliest time.
