Khamsum Yulley Namgyal Chorten above the Punakha valley.
Khamsum Yulley Namgyal Chorten was built by the Queen Mother and completed in 2004. Made in traditional style, it holds detailed paintings and statues over three floors, and the rooftop looks down over the Mo Chhu and the terraced fields of the upper Punakha valley. Reaching it is part of the experience: cross a suspension bridge over the river and walk up through the fields.
