Company Garden, also known as Alfred Park or Chandrashekhar Azad Park, is a large public park in the Civil Lines area of Prayagraj. Spread over 133 acres, it was established during the British era and is one of the largest parks in North India. The park is historically significant as the site where freedom fighter Chandrashekhar Azad chose to die rather than be captured by British police in February 1931. A monument marks the spot. The park also houses the Allahabad Museum, the Prayagraj Public Library, and the Alfred Memorial. Today it is a popular spot for morning walks, family picnics, and recreation.
