Huzoor Palace

A grand early-1900s palace mixing European and Rajput styles, once home to Porbandar's ruling family near the seafront.

Huzoor Palace was built in the early twentieth century by Maharana Natwarsinhji Bhavsinhji, blending European classical facades with Rajput detailing typical of Saurashtra's princely architecture. Positioned close to Porbandar's seafront, the palace served as the residence of the ruling family before becoming a heritage landmark open for exterior viewing. Tall columns, ornate balconies, and a symmetrical layout reflect the wealth and cosmopolitan tastes of the Porbandar state. Most visitors combine a stop here with a walk along Porbandar Beach nearby.
