Water pouring into the gorge at Davis Falls.
Davis Falls, called Patale Chhango in Nepali, is where the stream draining Phewa Lake plunges into a narrow gorge and disappears underground. The flow is strongest in and just after the monsoon, roughly July to October, and can be a trickle in the dry months. Viewing platforms and railings line the edge inside a small paid park. It sits directly across the highway from the Gupteshwor Mahadev Cave, so the two are usually seen together.
