Gandhi Maidan is a vast 60-acre historic ground in central Patna that served as a key stage during India's freedom struggle. Originally used as a British golf course called Patna Lawns, it was renamed in 1948 after Mahatma Gandhi, who addressed one of his earliest mass meetings here. Today it remains the beating heart of public life in Patna, hosting major events, rallies, and festivals throughout the year.
