Kathlaur-Kushlian Wildlife Sanctuary

Spread across roughly 758 hectares on the floodplain of the Ravi River, Kathlaur-Kushlian Wildlife Sanctuary was notified in 2007 and opened for eco-tourism in 2021. Its closed-canopy forest, grasslands, and wetlands support chital, sambar, hog deer, and barking deer, along with rarer residents like the Himalayan black bear. A five-kilometer nature trail and an electric golf cart tour let visitors explore the core zone, while private vehicles stay restricted to protect the sanctuary's more sensitive habitats.
