Salar Gunj Gate stands roughly in the middle of Panipat's older quarters, one of the few remaining structures marking the boundary of the historic walled city. Tracing its name to Nawab Salar Jung, the gate has weathered over the centuries and shows visible signs of age, yet remains a recognizable landmark tied to the city's pre colonial history. It sits close to other sites including the Dargah of Bu Ali Shah Qalandar, easy to combine into a single walking route.
