How to Reach Panikhar

Intercity connectivity and travel options

Leh airport (~290 km) or Srinagar airport (~260 km) are nearest. Kargil town is the practical base with accommodation and fuel. Road is open June to October via Pensi La to Zanskar.

Getting Around

Hired SUVs from Kargil (~60 km). No public transport on the Suru Valley road. Shared taxis occasionally run Kargil-Padum during summer season.
