Lukung marks the northern access point to Pangong Tso, reached via a longer road that bypasses the more crowded Spangmik stretch of shoreline. The viewpoint here offers a different angle on the lake's colors and mountain backdrop, with a shorter detour to the turquoise lagoon known as Shooting Point. Fewer tour groups stop at Lukung compared to the southern villages, giving it a calmer atmosphere for photography and quiet lakeside viewing.
