Angar Pir Shrine is a small Sufi shrine on Shatrunjaya Hill dedicated to Angar Pir, a Muslim saint who is venerated in local tradition for having protected the Jain temples from a Mughal attack. The shrine sits near the Nav Tonk Gate and is visited by both Hindu and Muslim pilgrims, particularly by couples seeking blessings for children. Its presence on the sacred Jain hill is a striking example of the syncretic religious culture of Gujarat and is pointed out to visitors at the start of the hill route.
