Jainimedu Jain Temple stands on the southern bank of the Kalpathy river in Palakkad's western suburbs and is among the few surviving Jain heritage sites in Kerala. Its granite walls, roughly 32 feet long, enclose images of Jain Tirthankaras and Yakshinis carved in a style distinct from the state's more common Hindu temple architecture. The temple's quiet courtyard and limited opening hours give it a low key, contemplative character compared to Palakkad's larger pilgrimage sites.
