Hardaul Baithak

A shrine honouring a Bundela prince who died defending his honour, still visited by devout locals.

Hardaul Baithak is a small memorial dedicated to Lala Hardaul, a Bundela prince who died after being falsely accused by his elder brother and was later venerated as a folk deity across the Bundelkhand region. Devotees have recreated his personal quarters inside, displaying his sword, footwear, and a bed dressed in velvet. The site carries a more intimate, folk religious character than Orchha's grander temples, rooted in local memory rather than royal patronage.
