Ahilya Ghat on the Narmada at Omkareshwar is named in honour of Maharani Ahilyabai Holkar, the 18th-century Maratha queen who was the most significant patron of temples and ghats across Madhya Pradesh and beyond. The ghat carries a quiet dignity compared to the busier Nagar Ghat, and is favoured by pilgrims seeking a calmer space for meditation, prayer and reflection beside the river. Several ashrams line the bank behind it.
