Sri Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy Temple stands at Jankampet, about twelve kilometers from Nizamabad and close to Ashok Sagar, on the route toward the Saraswathi temple at Basar. The shrine is dedicated to Narasimha, the half lion, half man incarnation of Lord Vishnu, and draws steady numbers of local devotees through the year. Its setting near the lake and garden at Jankampet makes it easy to combine with a visit to Ashok Sagar, giving travelers a compact pilgrimage and picnic outing.
