Alisagar Reservoir and Deer Park lies about thirteen kilometers from Nizamabad, built as a lift irrigation reservoir by the Nizam of Hyderabad in 1931 within an existing garden. Flowering gardens, a rock garden, and a hilltop guest house surround the water, with an island adding to the setting. The deer park, added in 1985, shelters several species of deer alongside peacocks and other birds. Boating on the reservoir and a walk through the grounds make this a popular weekend picnic spot.
