The Neemrana Baori is a large stepwell about 1 km from Neemrana Fort Palace. It is usually dated to the early 18th century and was built both to store water and to give work during a famine. The well drops through nine levels of arched galleries and has about 170 steps down to the water. The top level is lined with 86 arched openings. The site is not well maintained and there are no railings in places, so take care near the edges. There is no entry fee.
