Molela, a village about 5 km from Nathdwara, is the only place in India where artisans produce a distinctive style of terracotta relief plaques depicting tribal and folk deities, particularly those worshipped by the Bhil community. These votive plaques, known as Molela ki murti, are carried to the village by tribal devotees from across Rajasthan and Gujarat to be commissioned and then transported home as sacred objects. The craft holds a Geographical Indication tag and the workshops of Molela village are open to visitors who can watch artisans at work and purchase pieces directly.
