Dwarkadheesh Temple at Kankroli on the bank of Rajsamand Lake was built in 1676 by Maharana Raj Singh I in the Haveli style characteristic of the Pushtimarg tradition. The red sandstone image of Dwarkadheesh, Lord Krishna as king of Dwarka, is believed to have been brought from Mathura. The temple complex resembles the Shrinathji Haveli in architectural character, with a high-roofed courtyard and walls decorated with intricate paintings. It is one of the important seats of the Vallabhacharya sect and forms a natural pairing with the Rajsamand Lake visit.
