Artillery Museum

The Artillery Museum at Deolali near Nashik is run by the Indian Army's School of Artillery and displays the history and evolution of artillery weapons used by the Indian Army. The museum houses a collection of historic cannons, guns, field artillery pieces, and howitzers spanning from the colonial era to modern times. Deolali itself has a significant place in military history — the term "doolally," meaning eccentric behaviour, originated here among British soldiers waiting to return home.
