Takht Sachkhand Sri Hazur Sahib

Takht Sachkhand Sri Hazur Sahib stands on the banks of the Godavari River as one of the five supreme seats of Sikh authority, built in memory of Guru Gobind Singh Ji, who died here in 1708. The gold plated dome and intricate architecture draw pilgrims from across the world, alongside the daily ceremony in which historical weapons are washed in holy water. Inside, the Angitha Sahib marks the guru's cremation site. Its religious weight has earned Nanded the title of the second holiest city for Sikhs after Amritsar.
