The view tower sits on the highest point of the Nagarkot ridge, south of the main hotel strip. From the top, on a clear morning, the sunrise lights up a long line of snow peaks to the north and east, and the Kathmandu Valley lies below to the west. Walk up in the dark with a torch to be there before the sun comes up. Clouds often hide the mountains outside October to February, so check the sky before setting off.
